So I got my first ticket. The problem is that it was a careless driving AND the insurance is in my dad's name so I have to tell him about it.

How do you tell a father I was doing 75 in a 40 because I wanted too?

U DON'T U tell him u didn't notice the speed u were going and hope he thinks that is the truth but knowing my dad he will be like BULLSHIT.

I hate this. I guess I will lose my care, that is what I think will happen we will see.

I will post what happens, if i still have internet.

Carelesss will go away, Dad will get over it. It really isn't that bad of a ticket. Do kids really get there internet taken away as a punishment? We didn't have that when I was 16-17. It was punishment enough just to be stuck in the house, have the keys taken away and no girls where allowed in the house.

Yeah we can. I have gotten it "taken" away for grades.

Sorry to hear about the ticket. You could just tell him the truth that you were being careless... and that you wern't paying attention to the limit or you speed. (well mabey you were)

And don't I know it. NEVER run from the cops. It's much better getting punished by your parents than by the government.

WELL I STILL HAVE IT!!!!*Dances like a geek can*

He said that because I bought the car i had no punishment towards that and that I have to pay it the way it is and I can't go to court if I want to, if I don't have too.

but he is pissed but he was actually nice about it.

If you go to court most of the time they will reduce the charges a good but and if you were doing 35 over the fine will be extreamly high.... since you haven't ever had a ticket you probably would get it reduced alot.

my father wants me to pay it as is, which is about $180 so, if I don't have to go to court he wants me to pay it. He wants me to not have it easy. HE IS PISSED

180 for 35 over!!!! Damn you are lucky esp if you haven't gone to court. I know a guy that got pulled over doing 90 in a 65 (25 over) when he was pretty much going the speed of trafic (i know that is really fast but traffic was movin)
He got about a 300 buck ticket (don't know if it was before it was reduced or after) suspended licence and had to go to driveing school.
Man you got off lucky cause usually they hit you hard more than 25 over.

mabey that is just the difference between the southeast and midwest.
