removing the alternator

well, last night in my Galant VR4, my dash lights went dim and so did my headlights. We thought it was the battery but replacing 2 brand new batteries, we concluded it wasnt the battery but the alternator. Right now, im having a hard time taking it out. i've gone to vfaq and googled the shit out of "how to remove the alternator" but there wasnt really a good write up on it. I've removed alternators on other cars but this is a first for me. call me a newb. well...thanks!

Re: removing the alternator

You can remove the radiator fan on alternator side to open up the area.

its pretty easy to take out the alternator, but you just have to be careful.
