Nissan Maxima SE-R highway patrol
How fast is this car pushing out on the highway with it as a cop car? Prob not as much juice as the Dodge Charger RT. But the other day it was dry and hot, i saw 2 motorcycle past me on I-94 and a quick second later the Maxima SE-R as highway patrol chased after them. I saw that SeR down the highway and a 5 minutes later saw 1 motorcyle on the side of the road pulled over. Guess the other one got away. Streets/Highway, we as citizens are getting it hard. lol.

Re: Nissan Maxima SE-R highway patrol
I'd like to know speed and power comparisons for your average cop car. I feel like if half of these guys you see in car chases had a legitemently quick car, they would get away. Am I wrong?

Re: Nissan Maxima SE-R highway patrol
If a driver in a high powered car actually knew how to drive it to it's limit, he could get away. Cops are trained to handle their cars at high speeds and in extreme conditions. I'd say the average Joe Schmoe with a high powered car probably can't use it to it's limit on the street.

Re: Nissan Maxima SE-R highway patrol
^How true.
Also the cops get SRT8 chargers that are upgraded. I know a few would not be able to out run that.

It's not hard to outrun the infrastructure the radio is connected to. It's not hard to outsmart the guy with the radio. Cops also have about ten things going on at any one time.
Don't try it though, I'm kinda retarded.

Re: Nissan Maxima SE-R highway patrol
I have done it before (no I don't condone it and it was quite a while ago, late at night and basically noone on the road) and I thougt it was going to be pretty easy. I was quite amazed with the response time. I was on the bike when I did it and it was down south. Out away from the city it is pretty easy, but in the city it gets extremely risky. Not to mention the danger to others. I wouldn't ever do it again, I learned my lesson.

Re: Nissan Maxima SE-R highway patrol
Not sure about here, but New York has a 7 year on misdemeanors and (I think) gross misdemeanors. Had to research that one once.... Would assume it's similar here.
