Wow, that thing hooks! I wonder how much it weighs? It has a serious case of tincanitis.

Re: 3000gt 9.05@157
3.0 stroker (to about a 3.3L), 24psi, car is sub 3000lbs w/driver.
And he is a great driver.
When my car goes back together, it won't "count" as won't retain the original drivetrain config. I just don't want to risk another season with busted transmissions so I am going auto.
Funny part is he is on a piggyback, LOL.

So a 5speed 3s finaly used 4th, I am surprised he made the shift. Nice runs, and it sounds like they have a little more to go on boost and what not.

That whale is moving!
I love how us AWD cars can go around the water hole and pull some good 60 ft times. Everybody thinks you're slow because of no burn out and then, BAM! Good times.

He could bracket race that thing. Talk about consistency. He actually makes it look easy.

Re: 3000gt 9.05@157
Get it right Josh, it's a 3.5L (stroked/light overbore 3.0) He was running a MASSIVE 24 PSI. He ran out of fuel other wise he would have probably turned it up that next one or two PSI. Oh well.
Weight he said was 2980 with driver. A stock 3S is 37XX without driver. So yeah it's dam near a 1,000 lbs worth of usless shit out of the car.
Steve, he said the track owner said the same thing. There are guys running auto trannys that would kill to have a car that fast, THAT consistent.

Re: 3000gt 9.05@157
Yeah 3.5 debored, whatever its fucking 3.3 cubic inches.
24psi on a piggyback 720cc injectors for 360cc fuel system=lots of timing .

Re: 3000gt 9.05@157
720cc injectors and 52 PSI base, running an over clocked stock ECU (gets the limiter up to ~9,000 RPM) and a ARC-2 piggyback. But even he admits the car isn't particularly drivable except for WOT with that setup. You can hear the idle is a bit high in the vid, that's needed due to the lack of control.

Sweet. I think his speed holes in the back aren't big enough though.

Re: 3000gt 9.05@157
Why did he debore it? HP comes from a bigger bore...

Re: 3000gt 9.05@157
He wanted to use stock headgaskets. So he went to the max they would allow. 92mm. (+1mm from stock, stroke is 88.9mm, 76mm is stock, stock rod lenght is 141mm, I don't know what it is with the stroker motor) All using the stock 6g72tt block. Josh's "debored" comment comes from the fact that the stroker crank that he is using is supoosed to make the engine a 3.7L, but he opted not to go that big with the bore.

How do you "debore" an engine?

See ryan's comment, thanks for reading .
Pretty much Ryan is right, I consider it "debored" as the motor was designed to be a 3.7L, but with the smaller bore (aka very light overbore), it comes out to a 3.3L engine.
Still makes damm good power .
