Here was one of my early cad drawings of what I wanted to do and make sure I pass the 25.1 spec:
The geometry of the car was slightly different than I expected so I did have to make a few changes. I also made a few different versions on the cad drawing to make it lighter or stronger or both but you get the idea.
The body panels have been mocked up with a jig so they will be straight. I have braced the body so it is reasonably straight as well. It will need final touches once I get ready to bolt it to the new frame.
It will still obviously be the 4G63 running a GT4202 or something similair. It will run Methanol (and Nitrous eventually). The test motor is a decently built one that I plan to shift at around 10.5k. Using a 3 speed mockup design I expect the car to top out around 180-200 given enough go-go juice and time.
This season it will mainly be testing and tuning it. Ive never driven a fast RWD car moreless this damned thing so it will need some time to get worked it but I will make it to a few national event for sure next year. The shootout is garunteed (sp?). I am thinking one of the Nopi events would be fun... havent decided for sure yet. The car will be certified for 7.50 seconds or quicker from SFI and I will be licensed to run it so I can enter any sanctioned event. It will have all safety requirements.
