Paint Matching

I need some advice on places that match paint very well. I need to take care of some rust spots on my 2g, but I want the closest match, if not exact to the original paint color. Anyone suggest a place?

Re: Paint Matching

Are you looking for a pre-mixed paint that you would spray?

Re: Paint Matching

It's not hard to get a match for origional paint color. The hard part is matching the paint to the paint on your car. Over time it fades and you'll be able to notice new oem paint that's been sprayed on

Re: Paint Matching

Check with Welle Auto parts, a few on the north side. They will mix realy PPG paint and put it in spray can for ya. Might be someone down there that will do it too.

Re: Paint Matching

Napa (at least Elk river) has a gun that they shoot the car with that will match it to the color of the car. No wories about faiding or anything.

Re: Paint Matching

There is a color number for the red color on our cars. I used the touch up stuff in a can and it worked pretty good. If your car is faded just use some rubbing compound and get it back to its origional color. It takes time but the results are wonderful.
