Information Lights

For some reason which I do not know why, both my dsm's have this thing where every so often my coolant, battery, and e-brake lights will dimly glow. But my Talon will do this every time my voltage falls below a certain number and I'm just trying to understand why this is. Anybody have an idea what would cause this?

Re: Information Lights

I'm not sure if i'm right, but it could be your alternator at its weakest point and or your alternator maybe going out.
For some reason, everytime I start my car, all my lights are on. My voltage is around 11 then after revving up to about 3k, the voltage goes back up to mid 13's and the lights go off. My situation maybe different.

Re: Information Lights

Same thing has been happening to me lately. My ebrake and battery light will be on. If i rev over 3000rpms it usually goes away. Last night it didn't go away till I drove for a while though. I've got a new battery and alternator so I don't think that's the problem.

Re: Information Lights

Hmm, I might have to get my alt. checked. My car has been doing this same thing for almost a month now.
