They just had this in Hot Rod. They did it and it turned out decent. Not my cup of tea, but great for the right person with more time than money.

Eh, I did it, definately for someone with way more time than money. The results can be good, mine were decent enough and could have been better with more time.
If you are doing a paint job on a budget, just rattle can it, way faster, and less sanding plus you can clear coat it for better gloss.
