Simply Amazing!
A friends showed this to me last night and its amazing what people can create from scratch! Very impressive. Its unbelievable on how many people can actually do this but no one ever hears about it.
This is the first time I've seen this and I am very impressed. Its one thing to spend the time/money on the project, but when you fab just about every single piece yourself including the body, thats very respectable!
Here is the link:

If its been posted before, sorry, it is the first time I've seen it ever and couldnt find anything on it.
I wish I had the skill to do that, I would drop a 4g63 in there in a heart beat!

Re: Simply Amazing!
One of the guys I work with is building a Cobra from the ground up. Literally!!!!!!! I helped him bring home the tubing about a year and a half ago. He started with nothing but a frame jig that he made and started building. And this in the middle of taking his 2 kids to soccer practice and other extra curricular activities.

Pat has put a huge amount of time into this thing. Everything is thought out 10 times before he actually does the metal work. I love going over there and sitting in it!!

Re: Simply Amazing!
I LOVE major ground up chassis fab like that. I went to school for it, but I still don't think I would be confident in something of that scale. The amount of time needed for mesurments, designing, calculations, and just the general knowlege needed for the suspension setups in something like that is absolutley rediculous

Wow, very impressive! A few random comments:
First off, a honda motor and no tach? How do you know when to hang on when the vtech kicks in?
Secondly, I'd have done a 4G63

Re: Simply Amazing!
Yeah, 4g63/64 with a FP3052 would kill.

Re: Simply Amazing!
I definitely agree with the 4g63!
I'd put a 2.3 with the 3052. Would be insane quick.

Re: Simply Amazing!
He said the thing barely weighs 1400 pounds. That thing would haul ass with just a big 16g on it. Another thing I thought was amazing, is that from start to finish, it only took him a year and a half to make it.
