video output program for 7" lcd

I have a 7" lcd I want to put in my car and run it of of my laptop as a dedicated system to use for the e-manage and multimedia etc. anyone know of a program that will let me only show certain things on the output monitor since I think the desktop and things would be useless to have on such a little screen but if I could run a program that only outputs movies, music playlists and the e-manage stats (Rpm, o2 boost etc) while leaving everything else on the laptop it would be sweet. Just an Idea I had today on the way home from work.

Re: video output program for 7" lcd

What gets shown on an external monitor is what it shown on the main monitor as well. Why not just organize the windows on the screen like you want them and let it just display what it wants to?

So you're using a laptop in the car, and hooking up the external screen to the laptop? If that's the case, you don't have to run video mirroring in Windows, you could set them up as side by side, just like my dual monitor setup at work. I have my laptop screen running Outlook, and the LCD next to it with my main windows.
