Talking So I will be at the cookout!! (Kinda long)

Okay, this is from Eau Claire Wi. About four of us (cars) will be there tomorrow, we'll just register there (Sorry Curt!).

Okay, about two weeks ago I smoked a curb really hard. Totaled my driver side front rim, and dented my driver side rear. The impact kinda swung the car parellel to the curb, so thats why the rear got hit too. I opened the door, and dented my fender in. I didn't know the fender got pushed back when I was in the vehicle. Needless to say my wheel was about eight inches back where it should be. Got a flatbed, brought her home. I was low on funds, so she just sat til I can got the funds.

So this week I started to work on her. Got some 17" rims, and tires from my buddy's eclipse. All on the driverside front, replaced lower control arm, new ball joint, got a new sway bar mount, new sway bar link, new inner tie rod, new outer tie rod. Few months ago I ordered some camber bolts when I got my Tein S Tech springs, and GR-2 Struts. I never put them on before, til now, cause I still had a lot of positive camber on that wheel (Top of tire was out further then the bottom).

Now I'm thinking that, damn, I have some frame damage. So today I brought it by the frame shop, had them measure things up. The guys said it looked all good, and suspected it was the knuckle. I didn't believe him, never heard of a knuckle bending before, so I asked my buddies, and they said that they heard of this before. So about one in the afternoon I go to the junkyard, found an dsm, couldn't pull the knuckle out, too seized. So I took the whole assembly with the axle and strut lol. I didn't pay much at all, cause I knew the guy. Torched the bolts, impact, and bam got a knuckle! However, the bearing was shit...

Brought that back to the shop, around three o clock. Picked up a new CV axle, wheel bearing, and like a bearing/axle seal thingy. Got em pressed. I went home, let them do there thing, while I worked on the fender, slowly pounding some dings out, and tryed getting the crease out from the door. Looks good, but not perfect.

Five o clock they call, car's ready. Put the fender on at the shop. Dropped it off at Sears for an all wheel alignment, buddy works there so I only paid forty bucks for the alignment. Seven o clock came, and got the car, drove, handled much better. Took it to the car wash, and now she's ready for tomorrow! I was so excited to get her back, and actually be able to attend!

So thought I'd share this, and I'll see ya guys there. Black 92 Laser AWD.
