Another Poker Tournament

We will be holding a texas holdem poker tournament at our house on friday nite. We will decide on tournament method the nite of the event. Please post in this thread if you are going to come out. You don't necessarily have to post to join us but it would be helpful to know how many will be coming. Please bring chairs if you have them. We have some, but as the ones that came to the first one can attest to, we ran out. We have room for about 15 or so people. We will have the livingroom reconfigured to fit more in here as well.

Here are the basics:

--$20 buy in

--Registration open until 7:45pm

--Game play begins at 8pm sharp!!!!

--We will take hourly breaks which we will draw cards to see who sits at what table and the blinds will double.

--Play continues until one person has all the chips.

--The second place person will get at least their buy-in money back ($20) with the overall winner taking the rest.

--If time permits, we may have a second smaller tournament like we did at Andy's for a smaller buy-in (probably $5 again but we can discuss that).

Directions:

Coming from the north:
1. Take 35W or 35E south to County Rd 42.
2. Take a left on County Rd. 42.
3. Go down to County Rd 11 (Labeled Lac Laven RD [or DR or ave I don't remember]).
4. Take a left on County Rd. 11.
5. Go down County Rd. 11 to McAndrews Rd (County Rd 38) and take a right.
6. Go to the first road on the right and take a right (echo park lane).
7. Go to the first main parking lot on the right (Echo Park Terrace) and turn right.

Our townhome number is 13840. If you can find a parking spot in the lot, take it (as long as it's not in front of a garage). If they are all filled, you will have to park on the street. The street is visible from our windows and not more than 75 feet away from our door. You will see our Talons in front of our door (one red 1g and one maroon 1g). We will have the shop light on in front of the door again.

Coming from the south:
1. Take 35 north to 35E North.
2. Go to County Rd 42 and take a right.
3. Continue on with the rest from number 3 above.

Same here, I am going to Duluth I think snowmobiling so I won't be able to make it. I could next weekend though. Have to take advantage of this snow before its gone.

Tyler, check the dates. It is next friday. I'm busy this weekend as well so that's why we decided on next friday. I have to go pick up a bunch stuff at my fathers house.

I know the feeling. We're not rich either. I just got an itch to do it again.

We will be having many more so there will be plenty of opportunity for you guys to take our money.

Just so everyone knows, this tourney is still on. Regardsless if my car is running or not, we will be having the tournament here.

I'm going to talk to the management here at the townhomes and find out how big of a deposit they need for the party room and maybe sometime in the future we will hold it there. They have basically a full kitchen and livingroom for a party room. I'll go down and look at it someitme and find out how late we can be in there as well.

Good idea. I can host the next on at my place in our party room cause it is massive and stuff as well.

count me out! I have to take care of my dog. He is still a bit young. I would have asked to bring him along but I wouldn't want to put that on anyone's home. Sorry all. I will try to host the next one if I can find out what dates work best for everyone.
