Delivery Drivers needed!
Kind of random thread, but our store is finally picking up on business and my manager and I have decided its time to hire a few new drivers.
I am the assistant manager at the Domino's in Eagan off Yankee Doodle. When I started working at this store we were loosing about $1200 every month just being open. We finally got a new manager who knows what he's going and now our store is making money! Our customer base is growing and we are getting busier and busier, so we need to hire a few new people to come help us run the place!
Needed:
1 Insider
2 or 3 [at most] delivery drivers
Job descriptions/scheduals:
Insiders are us folks who answer phones, make/cut pizza, and deal with carryouts. That's really the basic requirements for a regualr team member. We need someone who is quick on their feet, willing to work, and willing to do everything the job asks for. The reason I say this is the girl we currently have is slow and not very bright. She doesn't like to work and complains. If this is your work ethic, don't bother, this is why we need someone else. You would start at $7, and as long as you show us you can work good, keep on top of things and help us out alot, we can usually work out pay raises. You'd typically work 5-whenever the dinner rush is over. Short shifts. You'd probably be working Monday and Wednesday's with me, then some shifts on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, I'm not sure how those days are going to work. You shift will typically never start before 5 and 8:30 is probably the latest you'd ever stay.
Drivers do just what you know: they deliver the pizza. They also do the dishes and mop at night if you close, but I think right now we are looking for jsut dinner rush drivers who could become more than that. Drivers also help cut the pizzas and answer phones when need be. Usually we don't ask the drivers to help make pizzas, but we want someone who is willing to help make pizzas and shit every once and awhile. Our drivers are a bunch of lazy fucks, especially my day driver, so we want people who aren't lazy and will do this shit for us. You'd start at $6.15 an hour. But you also get tips and mileage fees. I usually don't have driver walk out with less than $30 in tips, so its pretty good money. With tips you can make more than the managers per hour.
My manager and I have dicussed a lot of things and we have a lot of expectations for our emplyees. We are working at a store thats gone from shitty to having top numbers in our district in a very short time. We are trying to get the store running smoothly so that work isn't quite so hard. We expect people to be on time and follow the rules like any other job. We also expect people to be moving quick. Drivers should be in and out the doors, helping the insiders if there are no runs up. Insiders should be cleaning up and making sure the make line is full if there is nothing else to do. Basic little things. Not really difficult if you ask me, but our workers can't seem to grasp it all.
I know its a long shot but there you have it. If anyone interested let me know. I'm there Mon-Fri so ask me and I'll let you know when to come in.
