Ebay help?

Recently i sold a set of stock 97 eclipse springs. I the description i said "This item is for a set of 4 eclipse stock springs. It came off of my 97 eclipse GST with 40k miles. It is in really good condition. I upgraded my suspension which was why i took my stock springs out but it is still in really good condition. It will fit other cars too like avenger and chryler cars but i dont know exactly the yr." In the picture, i showed the springs wrapped in plastic bag and NOTHING else. I received a payment from a member on there and had shipped it to him. Now he is telling me that i didn't give him ALL that was included. What is he talking about? I shipped the springs out. He is saying that i didn't include the Strutbearings and dampers. NOWHERE IN THE DESCRIPTION OR IN THE PIC DID I MENTION ANY BEARINGS OR DAMPERS. Correct me if i am wrong but I DID ship out the springs and that was what he paid for and nothing else.

These are his emails to me:

"Why DID You show these with the Strut bearings and the dampners IF there not INCLUDED!!!! Thats the main reason I bought these, Send the bearigns and dampners so I can use these! Thank you"

"You can clearly SEE the dampeners (rubber ends) and what seem to be the strut bearings on the top of the spring! Look at your picture again I have many times and blow it up!"

"I also! would not of paid even half this much for just the springs! Thanks alot!"

"I don't know how big of idiots you have been dealing with! I am not one, I was being nice to let you explain something like the weight was kind of high so I took them out, etc!!! But your comment on not needing anything else shows you think I am a Moron that would believe anything. I have the springs right here. A blind man can see in that picture there is the rubber on the first one laying in the box! And the strut bearing ON the top of the one standing up! Blow it up alittle if you need glasses. Its plain as day! I bought what was advertised in the picture LIKE everyone else on ebay does!"

Try just posting the auction number, that link does not appear to work.

The best thing to do in these circumstances is to offer a refund if he ships them back to you and just sell them to someone else. Dealing with people that get all bent out of shape when they did not even bother to confirm certain details with you in the first place just plain sucks, so be curtious & do what you can. It'll be worth it in the end.

It is not your responsibility to fix this, however, like Scheides said it will probably be easier to refund his money and re-sell them.

I would personally tell the guy, in a polite way, to get screwed. It was his mess up not yours.

for $41, he should know better. Tell him sorry, description did not mention dampers, and he should have asked. It does look like they are there in the pic, buy why wouldn't he just buy new ones from Mitsu?

Through the bag it looks like there may be something there, but it's really unclear. The bottom line is that, there isn't anything in the description that mentions the dampener or a bearing. If he was unsure he should have asked you. He can't just assume something like that.

I can clearly see there is nothing on the top of those springs, what is that guy talking about? You also dont mention anything else besides springs on the ad, so the buyer has nothing to work with.

Also if you replaced your springs with new ones, why would you send the bearings and dampers with when you need them to work with your new ones??

Dont do anything, and if he complains more then tell ebay to look at the situation and deal with it. You will win anything he throws at you... He has nothing to go on.

Locked Down, solve this through e-bay. If what you described was what was sold and sent then your good. If not, he has a case.
