Project Stormtrooper TK1204

I guess there really is more to style than just the shoutbox. Got back into something I know a little better and going to keep it streetable/reliable as this will be my college whip for the next 3-4 years. I'll let the pictures do the talking but I'm sure some of you might recognize it. Somebody has been hounding me to start a project thread when I have close to nothing done to it. Anyway, on to the pictures.

First mod

At school getting edumakated.

Monitoring. Yeah, not the best gauges but I got them for a good price.

Intake installed. 3" into a t25 is kinda interesting. Still need an adapter and filter.

If you live in or around STC. "COME TO SOK'S CARWASH!"

Some gauges installed

Waiting to be installed

Current mods:
Dejon intake
wally 255
3" turbo back exhaust minus a small taper at the magnaflow muffler.

Future mods:
Timing belt and pulleys, maintenance.
Would like to put in new front and end clutches.
Going to go with a TL bastard 20g (have a minty 14b now).
1g crushed bov(have)
Definitely e85
Thinking of going with a flashable ecu as I'm poor.
All the supporting mods: FMIC, blahblahblah, everybody knows already.

So far, it can keep up with a e46 330i Dinan 3. Which isn't bad for a t25, side mount, no hard pipes, plastic bov, and a steady 11/12psi.
I haven't had the chance to play with all the subaru and euro fanbois up here yet. Tried playing with a eg hatch but he heard the turbo spool. Some day.

Also, the first day I got it and driving home, an srt4 challenged me but I had to decline because of my precious package and no WG.

The car is reliable as all hell with no problems whats so ever.

Why TK-1204? Well, Star wars is the sh*t, 12(year I got it)04(my 4th talon). I now just realized I've only owned talons and no eclipses.

Resemblance? Maybe? yah?

^LOL!

Is this the one Nick was selling (Brad's old one)?

Go take down some Boobaru's, there's definitely some cocky subaru guys up there. (Austin, Boner, that little troll Cam, etc, etc haha)

Looks pretty nice man, let me know how that TL 20g goes.

Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204

Glad to see this car went into good hands! Have fun with it!

The fuel pump should also be re-wired unless Nick took that stuff out of it. I should still have the cruise control setup if you wanted it, but it was kind of sticky and made the pedal hard to push.

Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204

Thanks everyone! I love my trooper!

8/11/12
Perrin Filter and maf adapter installed per Dan H. from MAP with a hell of a deal! Thanks for meeting up with me and picking this up for me! I appreciate it much! A++ service right there.
Sometime last week I installed the 2gb talon wing as well. The reason I chose Perrin is because I saw a picture of a spectre on MAP's feed and well. That thing sucked itself into the turbo.

Unfortunately, I do not have my phone cable to hook up to my computer so hold on to your seats cause a big update is bound to happen soon. With pictures.

A few pieces away from going green.

Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204

Have you seen my pretend smart phone? It won't let me do it.

14b on corn for now to get the kinks all worked out. Baby steps. Then from there. Who knows.

Found a cable.

The turbo screams now and is holding solid 12psi. Forewarning, the thing is oily as hell! Wear gloves.

My nephew helped me install it.

Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204

Car looked really good yesterday, Pat. Didn't give you much of a deal, I just ate the tax and the cc fee, but being a former dsm'er, gotta help out the community haha! Those perrin filters are def. oily, one of my favorite pairs of shorts got ruined by one haha.

Good luck with the corn venture!

I should have raced you yesterday, before the switch to corn, so I dont get myself embarrassed haha.

Yea, the Perrin filters are crazy oily. I dabbed mine with a rag a but before install.

Looks good, we need to get together and get faceshitted soon

Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204

Car started acting up today. It's like it's misfiring and just wants to die while cruising or even when in boost. It bogs down like it's hitting fuel cut. When it was sputtering I would step on the gas and nothing but sputter, but it would go into boost. I let off the gas and just let it do its thing til it was "normal" again. Parked it, started it up and it died right away. Started it again and tried to see if my stock intercooler pipes came off, nope. Let it idle for a bit and it stuttered like how it was for a bit then all of a sudden, everything worked again. Drove it around the block, boosted fine, idled fine, part throttle was fine. 1/4 throttle was fine. Then it all came back but not as bad as earlier in the day when I met up with Goodhart.

So I went to Advanced auto and used their scanner and this is what I found:
P1105 Fuel pressure solenoid
p0443 EVAP system purge control valve circuit
P0505 Idle Control system
P0110 Intake air temperature circuit
P1104 turbo charger wastegate solenoid
P0403 EGR Solenoid

I know the FPR is probably bad because i have a 255 in the tank and need to get a afpr, okay easy. Sounds like other people with this same code are having issues that are close to what I am experiencing.

The turbocharger wastegate solenoid, I have a MBC on there, no care.

EVAP and EGR, emissions was removed.

Idle control system, Could be another reason why it's doing what it's doing.

IAT, would that also be a contributing factor as well?

Anyway, I get to hold of a little longer til I try and get this h8 ecu reflashed. Anybody on here have experience with it on a 2ga? Do I need the 1g black cas?

Relatively clean

Never again. So many damn bolts!

Finally out!

After a whole days affair, I honestly didn't think it'd take that long but watching John from IPT helped A TON!

Car runs fine now. I don't think my mas was plugged in all the way that caused it to hesitate.
