Thinking of making oil return line

I need a new oil return line, and i was thinking just make a SS one?
Any thoughts or suggestions?
I know there is a place on Uni. thats sells all kinds of fittings, and so does TNT by me.
Just wanted some input.
The reason i need a new one, is cause mine broke and the coiled part and i think and the flange by the turbo.
Car: '92 AWD, 5spd, 3" turboback, 2G O2 & mani, 16G.
Thx
Aaron

Browse around on Toonerz for an excellent thread on the best methods for working with braided SS line. I think it's titled Cutting SS Line but I'm not for sure. I'd dig it up for you but it's bedtime.

I wouldn't mind helping you make one. I've seen the thread on tuners, It's helpful. But considering this has to do with the vital parts of the engine, why not buy a brand new one from mitsubishi, even if its 40 bucks, still cheaper than an fittings and line

Re: Thinking of making oil return line

I priced it out when I wanted to do it and its like 10 bucks more to go buy a SS oil return from like SBR for example. When I did my SS oil cooler lines I taped(Electical tape) where I wanted to cut and cut down the center of the tape. Then I took that tape off then got a new piece of tape and put it on the end of the line. That helps when Intalling it into the fitting. Then I put some oil on the fitting(the part that goes into the line) which helped it slide in nicely. I also Used regular wrenches with a rubber glove on it to protect the finish of the fittings. Good luck man.
