Re: Well Had my First MN Visitor yesterday
I'm now the Assistant Production Manager for the company now. Since I've been here our company has switched focus from Shingle Roofs to Mainly Tile.
Reason being is there is much, much, much more money in it. for instance. As sales man you split the profit with the company 50/50.
on your Typical Shingle Roof Say my house in MN since most people on here have seen it. it was a 2800 Sq. house (ruffly 35sq roof)
at 320 a square that would be a cost of $11,200 for a new roof) typically you make 13% of the total contract so that's would be $1456 in commission.
Well with tile not only are typically the house's bigger (60sq or more) but the price per sq is more like $900-$1500) when really we only need to be charging like $500 sq.)
Typically on Tile Roofs you make about 30% profit. Example.
I gave a lead to my friend Mike and from that lead he was refered to a tile house.
Starts at 2story, and then goes up to 3 story it's an 8/12 pitch. (so we can charge 2&3story charge plus we can charge steep charge)
The house is 95 squares and he got $1500 per sq for it. His commission off this 1 house is looking to be right around $40,000. (I keep kicking myself for giving him that lead)
