Old Cars

I work at Brooklyn park Kia, we have a body shop in the same building so I see a lot of different stuff ( junk). But today the body shop is working on a 1964 Ford T-bird 390 Cubic inch V8. The car needed new quarter panels, so they cut the old ones off, anyway my point is, Dam the old steel is thick like 1.81mm. Than I checked a new ford in the shop and the quarter measured at 0.93mm That’s like half the thickness, it’s not like I didn’t know old cars are heavy but dam. Even the Glass is thick.
