Well Im not that glad to be back...

After coming home from a week in Cozumel Mexico last night, the 5+ inches of snow was a great surprise I figured it would be 50 and sunny like March is supposed to be haha.

Anyway, had a great time and it was 85 and sunny every day. Had one thunderstorm that lasted 30 minutes one afternoon and that was it. Ive never been to mexico and I thought it was awesome. Very simple living down there. The people are really friendly and the food is great! We went snorkeling, visited some ruins, went to the beach and also romed around town. I bought a reusable underwater camera so if the 3 rolls of film develop Ill try and post some pice. The water was amazingly clear and you can see up to 200 feet deep on a clear day.

Here are some pics.

Gratz man! The cozumel/cancun area kicks ass. It is one of my favorite places. I definately want to go back sometime. Which ruins did you go to, Chichenitza?

Peter you douche bag, how dare you put up pictures like that when there is all this white crap on the ground here. Looks like an amazing place, if I were you I wouldn't have left without some form of physical intimidation.

Re: Well Im not that glad to be back...

We went on 1 "tour" trip and it was to Tulum (ruins) and then the other half of the day you get to spend it at Xel-ha. That place is basically a water park that is natural- you can snorkel in huge lagoon and there was an underwater cave and kayaking. That place was much more fun than the ruins but only because it was soo hot we almost passed out, and it was mostly cloudy haha also our tour guide just kept talking the whole time...

I went with my parents and my girlfriend, my brother brought a friend along also. We all pretty much did our own thing but it was really fun.

Coming back here was really depressing but oh well, have to start saving for next year haha.

Re: Well Im not that glad to be back...

LOL there really were not that many compared to what you might think. Especially if you stay in a hotel vs a cruise ship. A few here and there but I didnt take any pics of them. There were a couple hot girls with us when we went on a snorkel tour and got caught in a nice thunderstorm but I was there with my parents and gf and you know how that goes.. My dad was taping though with a digicam so both of them are on there but I have no uploading software or hardware.

Alot of the good looking girls at our hotel were pretty uptight and didnt talk much. So I just admired from a distance haha. I didnt even think about taking pics of any of them sorry guys, and gal LOL.

Re: Well Im not that glad to be back...

Ahh, Mexico. I can't wait to go back. We were in Playa Del Carmen a few years ago, we're tentatively planning to go again this fall. We didn't make it to Xel-Ha last time but we'd definitely go this time. In the meantime, I'll have to settle for Phoenix this Friday. And since rental cars are so damn expensive, I might just have to pick up a 2003 Silver EVO that's down there so I have something to drive.
