Any of you been to the auto show yet this year.

I hope to go sometime soon. I think someone should organize a meet-up at the show?

Re: Auto show 05
I went today and it was about the same as always. Mitsu realized their EVO isn't the end-all of the show and actually have it sitting on the floor unlocked (same with the STi). The only things I coulcn't sit in that I wanted too were the MazdaSpeed6 (platform) and the NSX (floor, but locked).
I also test-drove a few cars this weekend: Infiniti G35's are awsome cars and make my top 3 list and the Pontiac GTO...blah.

Re: Auto show 05
I went to the show yesterday. I must say it is nothing like The Chicago Auto Show that I have gone to the past two years in a row now. I saw Enes there yesterday just to let everyone know he is still alive. The 4th gen is there, check out the UV blue 3rd gen gts the color is unreal. The show is better then years past I recommend the MN auto show for once.

The Mpls Auto Show is always a good time, but never anything too spectacular. I went on Sun. with Joe, JDM, and Laura. I would recommend going, but dont wet your pants waiting for it.

Re: Auto show 05
For anybody that has gone to this, did they have either the Saturn Sky or the Pontiac Solstice there? I might go check it out this week, but if I don't make it there, I'm not going to cry over it.

Re: Auto show 05
Yeah, they had both those cars there. Actually, the Saturn Sky looked pretty nice, but it's still a Saturn....you couldn't sit in it so I'm not sure what it was like.
It was pretty cool to be able to see all those cars in person and sit in them. At least for me, because I'd never go to Jaguar dealership and be able to sit in so many of their cars. They'd probably laugh at me

Re: Auto show 05
My favorite car was the black jag. Near 400 supercharged hp, killer interior, removeable hardtop/convertable, just a fucking joy to sit in. I'd say it's well worth the 80k and would LOVE to drive one.
Otherwise I was a fan of the Saleen Stang on the top floor as well as some of those custom trucks! WOW there was some sweet off road shit there on the Trucks and Hummer. The trucks caught my eye ALOT more than the cars.

Re: Auto show 05
Meh, trucks are lame. It's all about huge rims, bunch of LCDs, 6" lifts, and loud paintjobs. Not my cup of tea.
There were 3 supercars I was VERY pleased to see at the show however. I won't list them, as they'd be spoilers... but two were american, and one was german.

Re: Auto show 05
I had fun walking around and sitting in the EVO and STi while talking about what a great winter-beater it would make. You should have seen the looks people were giving me, they were agasp and some where downright getting pissed.

Re: Auto show 05
I had fun calling a few people there fucking idiots and I am pretty sure some people heard me. First there was the 17 year old running through the Tibby gears like he was out running the cops. It was insane and hilarious at the same time. 2nd was the 16 year olds while I was lookoing at the SRT4 saying DAMN these are fast and for 20K you get AWD as well. Along with the other 2 comments he made Jana and I just had to laugh at this stupid fuck. And the best was when I was sitting in the EVO MR and the guy admiring the Brembo brakes starts talking shit saying it was tight they use the brembo brakes and his cousin must work with them since his cousin was the only importer of the brembos in the US. I was about to break down in tears.
As for the truck Dane, I agree they do more show shit with them but they are my cup of tea cause I wouldn't think twice about just beating the shit out of them and not worrying about the paint with the off road setup they had.
