Re: Be Careful Selling on Trader.

I have gotten a ton of those responses from trader. I will never buy on there unless it is local and I will not sell until I have the money in my hands.

Re: Be Careful Selling on Trader.

There are tons of scams like that for everything. This guy from work got this email from this fucker in Africa saying that he had a huge inheritance that he was going to get but he needed to be in the USA to get it and he needed some financial assistance for lawyers fees and other legal fees to get the money. The person even talked to these people on the phone from here to fucking Africa. He sent them 1000 dollars "western union" (fucking stupid). They picked up the money, and he never heard from them again. It was some big fucking sob story too, his dad died and all this shit. Them fuckers really played it to be real, they actually talked on the phone numerous times setting everything up.

When it came right down to it. There was nothing the person could do about it from over here. If you send the money, its your ass pretty much. There has even been stories of people giving there address out and having people come to their houses and rob them and even kill them. There are some crazy fuckers out there and theres a new scam everyday.

Re: Be Careful Selling on Trader.

I was hoping one would email me, I was going to go along with it and set them up to get caught. See if you can catch them when they are retrieving the money then they can get prosecuted. But if they can get the money and get away. Well then its all over. There is a certain part of Africa that is notorious for trying these sorts of scams, I can't remember where it is though.

Re: Internet Scams

I get e-mails quite freqently from Princes & Queens over on Africa basically about the same shit mentioned above. What is really odd though is that these e-mails come to my school e-mail address in which I never get spam except for these. On the other hand with my hotmail account I get shit like this on a bi-hourly basis. It's good to see the Trader has a public announcement about this shit (I believe they've had it posted since last Spring). I just wish they would put up warnings about the frequent US scammers like Manny Alveraz (sp?).

Re: Internet Scams

I had two of these scams attepted on me while I was trying to sell some pistons, I played along with both, but never got the checks. I was hoping to refer them to someone that could possibly do something.
