motor this weekend

Well I checked on that used motor today.I should have it by the weekend.The turbo had no shaft play at all.Actually the motor looked good and clean.Sorry to post this but I cant wait.So maybe it want be long until I am on the road again. Well here is a pic of the motor I picked up.

how much did you get the motor for? Has your car been out of order for some time now? Trust me I know that feeling

The guy is going to trade me for it.I have an old beat up chevy truck.So in my opinion I think its a good trade.Yes my car has been out of order for some time now.It was running then it dropped that valve.By the way this motor comes with the transmission also.So that will put me to having 2 spare transmissions.

Good find, you never can have too many spare DSM trannies.

Well I now have the motor in my building.However there is a down fall.When I looked at the motor the other day,it all looked good.One very important thing I did not check was,its a 7 bolt not the 6.On the valve cover it says its out of a 92.Its all ok what I am going to do is,take my head off and see if the cylinder and piston is hurt.If its not then I am just going to use the head off my parts car.I have to say that turbo is in perfect shape.

Ouch, well atleast its not a 2G 7 bolt.
