Vacuum source

I think I narrowed down my MBC weirdness to the fact its on the same line as my bov.

I want to run another seperate line for my MBC and I was wondering where I could find it. Are the 3 ports on top of the TB the same as the ports on the manifold or do they act differently?

They all act the same directly off the TB. If you have an EGR blockoff, just use one of the sources on the TB and call it a day.

I assumed the TB pressurized with the Intake manifold unless there is some wierd TB voodoo going on.

When I was looking for a vacuum/pressure source for my boost gauge I could only get vacuum off of the throttle body, so I ended up using the nipple for the fuel pressure regulator.

That seems really weird, I don't see how you could get vacuum and not get boost, anyone else want to chime in?

Not all the ports on the tb are vaccum, I know at least one of them is but some of them source on the turbo side of the tb plate (vs the plenum side) so thier pretty close to atmospheric at idle. The mbc being on the same line as the bov shouldn't matter as long as they are both getting a solid vaccum/boost source. Is the bov/mbc line connected to the port at the front of the intake plenum? If you really wanted a seperate source for everything you could run the bov off the port on the front of the plenum and then you could use the big fitting on the intake runners that is supposed to be for the pcv valve as a place for the mbc line assuming you have a catch can.

Just run the mbc infront of your wastegate. Cut the line running from your bov line or the turbo compressor housing and put in the mbc before the wastegate.

I don't really get what you are trying to say, right now I have it set up exactly like this.

http://taboospeedshop.com/Images/2G_emissions1.gif

Right now my boost controller doesn't really do any controlling it's very inconsistant, I've just recently read on other forums that having the BOV and the MBC going to the same nipple on the intake can sometimes cause this.

Also if you read the 1000AQs they say to not tap the line going to the FPR for your boostgauge, which goes against how Taboo does it, anyone know if this will cause problems with my FPR?

I switched it out, I've always had this problem since I moved my BOV and needed a longer line from the T to the intake mani

You can connect your boost gauge and mbc off the bov line if you want. I have connected my boost gauge off the FPR on a couple of instances. I have never had a problem. Maybe your boost controller is backwards. Did Josh install it for you...

Right now I am looking at having my BOV off the TB and my MBC alone off the left intake nipple, and then my FPR and boost gauge off the right nipple. I'll post up whether this clears up my boost problems

Anyone know which port on the TB will work, and any idea what size they are?
