Project Mistake 2g tsi

So recently aquired a new tsi now ive been out of the dsm game for a while and always had that itch. Most of you probably know the car its been around here on style and was ready for a update.

First off car is a 1996 Eagle talon tsi Awd Auto ran great just trans slipped. Has a pte 50 trim turbo a front mount full exhaust and fic 1080s , good start to a project. First off was pulling motor and trans and cleaning up the bay and harness.

Got the motor and trans out Reason for all of this is i wanted to try to clean up the bay coat some parts fix the harness replace the head gasket ect.

Motor is twore down to a shortblock. Now at this point i have to decide what all exzactly i want to do here. Surprise soon

Re: Project Mistake 2g tsi

Well made some good progress 2.3 stroker 6 bolt almost together

hopefully this next week should have motor and trans in car have to take care of a couple misc pieces like the 1g auto flex plate and starter plate. Then have to start working on my trans plan is to do 3/4 clutch packs oem TQ right now. this summer a 2500 sinister stall. If anyone has any input on how to convert my auto arness to delete my tcu that would be great want to do a manual valve body.

You will need the whole Kiggly 6-bolt in a 2g kit or you will burn up your pump. Other wise looking good. Nice choice on the stroker for the auto.

Re: Project Mistake 2g tsi

Seems like all the local big turbo auto's have trouble building boost while their on the stall. They must need to have a decently high stall and/or a small shot of nawz?

I may end up doing a 6262 that will be the borderline of needing spray or not. I'm Shure plans will change as I go along

That was the tard kevin, blackawdtsi got that sorted out on his 6266.
Mondale is the other I know of and he uses spray.

What is in your motor? rods, pistons, etc?
I've always wanted a stroker + 61mm, so I'm just doing that, luckily tech. has increase that power from mid 500s to 650+whp.

Good luck, interested to see this build progress.

Re: Project Mistake 2g tsi

WELL Back from the dead... Spent the last couple months getting parts together and saving. Hopefully it will be a faster process now.

Changed things up a bit Car will be running a scm61 precision bolt up instead of the Pte 50. Picked up a precision restall Kiggly 6 bolt to 2g kit, Working on my trans right now translab shift kit and end clutch packs.

I talked to Foreign Muscle And had My tcu reflashed to run a dual mode Kinda cool idea. Off a toggle i can have it shift itself or go to manu mode for tuning ect.

Have alot left to go hopefully the Next update wont be too long ha. On to some pics !
