1992 Eagle Summit Sedan

Well, My 2nd CSM. I've been trying to buy this car since 2007. The Original owner said it just didn't start one day, back in 2002, he had a spare car and just parked this and never got around to digging into it. In 2003 his wife died of cancer and this car reminded him of her, so he kept it around.

June of 2007, I found it and left him a note, saying I was interested, at this time he was still unmarried and wanted to keep it. He never called me to talk about the car.

I left him more letters from 2008-2012, with no response. On my way to bill's gun range a few days back, I decided to drive by to see if it was still there, Well it was. No answer at the door, so I decided to leave another note. He pulled up as I was writing it and said he wanted it gone. So 2 days later, it's sitting in my driveway, ready for love.

As it sits:
-99.95% Rust Free
-161,xxx miles
-Roof paint is severely faded.
-Sagging headliner
-Only body damage is dent on front of hood 5"x1", nothing that can't be rubbed out.
-Left Rear is locked up, he left the e-brake up, back in 2002 when he parked it :/

Good:
-Everything is OEM and intact.
-No body damage, besides hood.
-No hack-job wiring
-I removed oil cap:
-no 'varnished' parts
-found Roller rockers, OEM?
-Oil was SUPER clean and at normal level
-Guy had seat cover on since day 1
-Non smoker
-OEM hubcaps in great condition
-SUPER clean brake fluid, i'm sure it's lost it's abilities, but it's damn clean.
-5-speed seems to shift easily

Bad:
-Left Rear Wheel locked up
-Sagging Headliner
-Crack in lower 5% of windshield
-Clutch reservoir fluid frozen, Clutch pedal still has tension.

My Plans:
-Get it roadworthy
-Keep it OEM and a cruiser for now.
-Collector Plates
-I know how hard these cars are to find without rust, So I plan to keep it for awhile

I have a few pictures that I took at night, with a decent flash. When it's not 4 degrees out, expect more detailed pics.

Passenger Rear Wheel Well vvvvvvv

Driver Rear wheel well vvvv

It looks so dirty because of the cob webs and the snow falling on them..

I'm thinking some wrinkle black with gloss red lettering?

Re: 1992 Eagle Summit Sedan

Sad story, but the car in it self gets to live on Once its all cleaned up, and maybe even swapped to a 4G63T with some corn and a MHI 16 hint :P( who knows )...stop back at his house and show him you're keeping her well cared for and hope he will be able to feel at rest and move on past his tragic experience :/

Haha no way. She's gonna sit in my driveway. I'm really banking on it being something simple, he said it didn't start one day so he took another car and never got around to digging into this one, could be a dead battery for all I know.

Re: 1992 Eagle Summit Sedan

-Drained The Gas: It stunk.
-Drained The Oil: It was surprisingly clean.
-Timing belt intact
-Put 2-3 Oz of oil in each cylinder and rotated the crank a few times.
-It feels like really low compression
-Lubed door latches and hinges
