Leather interiors - yay or nay? and why?
I'm looking at some cars and the one I want that is good has leather.
Now I've never owned a car with leather interior, so I'm not sure on the pros and cons.
However, my wife fricken hates it apparently. Too cold in the winter and burns you in the summer. I can agree with these points even if you do have heated seats.
I was also just told that leather will clean up a lot easier if you have kids spilling shit back there.
Just wanted some of the best opinions out there!

I like it, it's really not that cold or hot IMO. But you do gotta care for it and know how to condition it over the years. Otherwise you end up with seats like mine in the accord lol.

Just get a car like our Lincoln that has heated and cooled seats, then you never have to worry about a cold or sweaty butt.

I prefer leather over cloth. It is definitely easier to clean. It does get hotter/colder but will cool down quickly with the a/c on and warm up quickly in winter especially if you have heated seats. I would definitely take leather over cloth any day

Leather is 100% better with heated and cooled seats. As far as kids being kids leather hands down over cloth.

Re: Leather interiors - yay or nay? and why?
I love my leather seats in the Acura. I've spilled a few times and it just wipes right up. You really don't have to worry about stains either (I have black interior though).
One thing to keep in mind is different car brands will have different quality of leather. Honda leather is pretty damn good as long as you condition it once or twice a year. But their seats are fairly stiff. Kia leather is shit, seats are hard and it gets marred up pretty easily and it doesn't feel like quality hide. Newer Subarus seems to have great feeling and looking leather as well. But newer Subaru's are expensive.
Yes, they'll be cold in the winter, and hot in the summer, but I've never regretted having them. The only thing I don't like is how much I slide around on the seat during hard cornering.

Thanks guys. I told her I'm gonna get it and if I don't like it there are always people that will want to trade.

I'm too poor for that cooled part, barely getting heated seats.

I prefer cloth. Leather gets too hot and traps heat inside of the car if your windows are up. They don't look too good when they start to wrinkle and it doesn't take long before you see wrinkles.

Re: Leather interiors - yay or nay? and why?
I had a gtp full leather for dd and now a grand prix gt with cloth. I plan on buying a truck with leather too so I have zero preference but the woman for example absolutely hates leather. smh

Leather, hands down, no question. But heated is a must, I've never been a huge fan of the cooled seats.

Leather for sure, it really isn't any different in the summer and winter isn't a big deal if you have heated seats.

Re: Leather interiors - yay or nay? and why?
I didn't like the black leather front seats in my Evo. Cold in the winter and fires of Mt. Doom in the summer.
However, I do love the heated and cooled leather seats in my Raptor.
