Picked Up Another Project (RB S14)

Long Time Since Ive Been Around.
Anyways, Here is my RB S14. The guy before me drifted it pretty hard :/. and left me to clean it up. Which is 100% cool with me because i got it for a decent deal. It is pretty sketchy in the engine bay, Needs a lot of body work, and just needs some tlc. Im going to paint it flat white with black wheels, and im cleaning it up overall more and more everyday.

Re: Picked Up Another Project (RB S14)

It's running good. But I have to finish the exhaust from the downpipe. And the rear differential bushings were out. But I replaced them already. And yeah. Those rims ARE getting switched/painted

Re: Picked Up Another Project (RB S14)

well i believe this motor powered poth rwd and awd. just different transmissions. and this transmission is actually from an r34 rwd skyline. thought that was pretty awesome.

Re: Picked Up Another Project (RB S14)

I don't know if they did Awd rb25's, they were in most gts-t's, but believe in the r34, they started using the rb26 neo for rwd applications. Even 1989 R32's came with the rb26dett.

Looks like a fun project, how is driving a car with 2 more cylinders hanging off the front? I've always heard rb swaps make steering a little goofy, if the motor is not as far back in the car as possible. I'll be looking for an s13 coupe over this winter myself

Re: Picked Up Another Project (RB S14)

yeah the r34 did use the neo rb 26. but they made it work fot the 25. i donno ill have to dig for some numbers or codes on the transmission to be sure. but yeah a rwd project is fun in its own way from awd projects . and yeah i got the parts powder coated at all pro. a little spendy. but worth it considereing those parts are gonna the most banged up on. and i like it 100% more now with that/those colors. and i kind of like that front end.... after looking at prices to convert it to a kouki front end

Re: Picked Up Another Project (RB S14)

FWIW, there a ton of good vinyl wraps available which could save mega time and money versus painting, especially if you're going to do a flat finish.
