Colbert V for vendetta?
So My sister in law and her boy friend were watching Colbert tonight and the weirdest thing happened.
during an interview with his guest, it goes to Colbert, and a quick frame jumps in while Colbert is looking at the guy that turns Colbert into the mask from V for Vendetta (Guy Fawkes Mask) . It was only a quick flash. So thankfully we have DVR. and they managed to pause it right on the frame and sure enough it is. WTF? I will post a picture as soon as they upload it.
Anyone know any significance?

Re: Colbert V for vendetta?
Like he was wearing the mask or someone was wearing the mask offset? Could have been hacked, like the old school l337 hack with the max headroom dude.

Re: Colbert V for vendetta?
It was literally a single frame overlay on his face. quick flash and gone. I posted it up on the Colbert forums to see if there's an explanation.

Re: Colbert V for vendetta?
I believe that's what that mask symbolizes. That was the whole thing in V for Vandetta.

Re: Colbert V for vendetta?
its spreading, more people are thinking it had to do with what you guys were talking about. should be interesting if someone outright claims it. whats even more interesting is that they were talking about internet anonimity. (sp)

Using anonymity to overthrow totalitarian society. I have a hard time believing it was anything but Colbert himself playing a joke based on the subject of the show and what's going on in the world at this moment.

That's what I was thinking as well. Pretty unlikely they accomplished that.

Re: Colbert V for vendetta?
I just watched the re-run, and with the way the cut to Colbert's face while the other guy was talking leads me to believe it was part of the show.

Re: Colbert V for vendetta?
Yeah I'm sure it was, to hack a digital network is retarded hard. The person that hacked the station back in the day was only on the air for a minute or so and that was back in the day of analog, you know when you could blow a 2600hz whistle into a pay phone and get a free phone call.
