iPhone help!

So I'm a rebel and have an unlocked iPhone. My phone is a 2g version 2.2.1, it's unlocked and jailbroken. Now I want update my phone to latest firmware, but have heard if I do so, it will be relocked and I will have to have it unlocked again (don't want to do that). Is there any truth to that? Or am I just stuck in the past? Lol

Re: iPhone help!

Yeah I heard it will lock it as well. I do believe there are some unlocking programs that are suppose to be able to keep it unlocked and update it though. I would Google some programs.

Pm DoughtCom onhere, he has one. When I upgraded my unlocked 1g phone I had to do a full restore on it, not fun. I think now, all you have to do is re-jailbreak and unlock it after the update. Jailbreak app is real nice now, just try it!

+1

Just upgrade it, then download the program to jailbrake it. it has you plug it in to the computer, hold both buttons for a few seconds and then kabam! re-jailbroken.

Nah I love my iPhone. If you remember back a few months ago, my iPhone took a swim with me for about 5-10mins, and doesn't have a single spot on the screen, and works cherry.

Thanks for the advice. I'll prob just upgrade it and if worse comes to worse, have the d-bags at world of wireless re-unlock it.
