I know there was something on this in the digest or on VFAQ, I just can't seem to find it anymore. Anyway, I have a friend that has a 2G that has some pretty shitty sounding doors. Anything while make them rattle, closing the doors with any decent amount of force, playing the speakers at an enjoyable volume, etc... Now does anyone know where to find a fix to this or know what to do? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If you do the foam thing, at the bottom of that dsmtalk post, make sure you don't plug the lower drain holes, it will lead to rust problems.

I've disassembled about 4-5 2g sunroofs, including my own, and every one of them had 95% of the bolts/nuts loose(not finger tight loose, but ready to fall off loose)

Like I said they are usually all loose, but the ones that make the rattle are in a thin sheetmetal brace, inside the headliner. You may be able to get at them by removing the molding around the sunroof/headliner, and just pulling the headliner down some. Also the screws that hold the switch and surrounding assembly tend to loosen and rattle(mine were loose when I drove my car off the lot, brand new).Use Loc-Tite and put a little silicone on the brace(its thin and resonates easily).
