Re: Yet another reason to not do business with SBR
Why the hell do people keep buying their shit. There are multiple vendors out there that can get you the same parts for the same price that never have this problem or reputation.

Re: Yet another reason to not do business with SBR
Someone needs to get a lawyer and shut that shithole down. Find some technicality and get rid of this dark cloud in the industry. I'm just waiting for the big "oh we fucked up" and someone put them out of business. Situations like these reinforce my thoughts about going to graduate law school.

Re: Yet another reason to not do business with SBR
If you haven't read the original thread from SBR in the new members section it's worth the read and about 2-300 laughs at how redonk these guys are.
You'll notice I have several posts in the evoM thread, and despite the warnings from the Mods, none of my posts have been deleted, as they are factual. LOL (again) at the part about craig flying out there to woop their asses, I would honestly love to see that.

SBR couldn't help me 2 years ago and Mike Huml himself couldn't help me about a year ago. He offered to pay for shipping the turbo back to SBR for inspection. Guess what he wanted to pay for it with? Store credit at SBR. What a laugh...thanks but no thanks, I don't care anymore.

Re: Yet another reason to not do business with SBR
Why cant slowboy get swallowed up in the recession. that would be one good point of the economy in the shithole.
"Our Countrys broke... but hey at least slowboy racing is no longer around."

Re: Yet another reason to not do business with SBR
Read the whole thread....looks like their defense was: the customer knew/should have known that these were used pistons because of their cheap price.
-WAIT-
SBR sells used parts? WTF? FAIL.
I know that SBR cannot offer cash back on every swinging dick that says "i want my money back" But it seems that this time they should have granted the exception....couple hundred dollars cant hurt your bottom line that much.
Those pistons look interesting....non-interference 4G63 pistons FTW!!! I will buy them used in a heartbeat. $100

Re: Yet another reason to not do business with SBR
Yeah its really funny that they would screw another vendor over a couple hundred bucks. Its a vendor and an open door to more business.
Earlier this year we had a bunch of failures of the products we manufacture and sell for this one major program. The blame really should not have been put on us but instead to save face in the eyes of the public and show we stand behind our product, we replaced over a MILLION dollars worth of product. But in return we will continue to work with this client and will be getting even more business in the furture.
Mike Huml is the worst business man ever, Close shop on his ass. Im surprized with all of the bad press he has gotten on the mitsu forums he hasnt taking the mitsu links off his site and stopped selling products for dsms and evos.

Re: Yet another reason to not do business with SBR
I'd be interested to see how many people would be willing to allow me to use their complaints against Slowboy so I can make a list, and then file a report at the BBB. I'll volunteer to file if people send me their complaints. Knowing this number of complaints is huge, I'm sure the BBB will have their eyes upon Slowboy and hopefully bring some fury down upon them.

I'm surprised they have that much business when all their stuff is quite a bit more expensive then MAPerformance or extremepsi.

Re: Yet another reason to not do business with SBR
SBR is a joke of a vendor and that thread confirms everything that's already been said about them on this board and elsewhere. I can't imagine any reason why someone would do business with them when there are so many honest shops to deal with.
