Anyone Know How To Fix A Jack?

So Lately my jack doesnt like to jack up to its highest point. And today when I jacked my car up I got it pretty high then all the sudden it started to leak fluid. I couldnt see from where tho. Anyone know how to fix this or a good writeup on how to. Im way to much of a cheapass to buy a new one!

Re: Anyone Know How To Fix A Jack?

I have a POS Craftsman jack that did the same thing. I drained all the fluid out of it, replaced it all with brake fluid and it has never done it again. Always works perfect.

This website is pretty decent as well.

Erik on here is a hydraulic mechanic, I don't see him around much though. I can't even think of his screen name right now. Search for a CRX on here and that is him, he had one for sale not too long ago.

Yeah tranny or brake fluid should fix a "dying" jack.
