Canadian Newbie

Hi everyone, came across the site in a search, thought i'd join.

I have an 04' Lancer Sportback Ralliart (turbo'd) it is the only turbo'd wagon of it's kind, as it is a 1 off kit. Hope i can talk turbo's witha few of ya as I'm looking to upgrade my current 16g to a bastard 20g.

Currently the car is pushing 7psi @ 230hp. She gets the groceries home before the icecream melts.

she sits a bit lower now that she's on Tein coilovers,

Re: Canadian Newbie

Thanks, I'm currently running the "Split second" tuning oackage, but that is going to be upgraded here with teh new turbo as I find it lacks in dynamic tuning. Hopefully when the block is complete, I should be running close to 330-340hp with new cam, new low compression pistons and port and polished intake mani.

Do you have a FMIC on that thing? Perhaps some alky injection is in order! See my thread in the project section....

Re: Canadian Newbie

thanks everyone, yes it is a sleeper, i took some young kid in his Dads WRX and he me saw a few weeks later and was all pissed cause a wagon beat him, I've had a Z3 owner follow me home after I took him and he was an older guy and loved the car, it is a car you wouldn't expect to see modded or blow some doors off when need be. As for the motor it's a 2.4ltr Mivec, same as all Ralliart platform Lancers. The complete kit is the only RRM turbo they ever built, they have a second one but not sure if that sold or not, I drove out to Cali to get the kit, installed it locally.

Re: Canadian Newbie

looks really good. you should build the 2.4 bottom and put a evo 8 head on it

Re: Canadian Newbie

^ funny you should mention that, that is the next step, i have a complete bottom end and we are swapping out for lower compression pistons, new cam, and then we were looking at that option, but were uncertian if the evo head would work? just curious as the evo motor is 2.0l and the Rallairt is a 2.4, but that shouldn't make a differnce?

Re: Canadian Newbie

Welcome,
as long as the heads have the same layout, the evo head will most likely flow more. It is something I would also reccomend looking into, plus you will have an easier time finding upgraded parts for the evo head.

Re: Canadian Newbie

hmmmm couldn't find anything, however I did have sites on the evo wagon, still the same 2.0ltr engine as the evo, but maybe that would be the better way to go and more solid set up for a bit more psi boost.
