So as previously discussed, an aussie named tephra made some hacked base ROMs for the stock Evo ECU to do NLTS, KnockCEL, and Valet mode.

Now comes v4: live map switching! This is something that I've been waiting for and expecting and while it's not 100% complete, the path is being laid out. With this mod, IF you have an 03-04 Evo with an intercooler sprayer (standard on those years) you can use this patch to switch between two sets of fuel and timing maps ON THE FLY! The ICS models have a switch next to the cupholder that can be used for this.
What does this mean? Get two tunes, one for race gas, one for pump. Run pump gas daily, then fill up on race gas on the weekend. Switch maps, crank boost, and dominate!
Two things that are not included yet: injector scaling and boost map switching. These are lined up to be included in v5. When this is done, E85 guys will be happy! You will be able to run E85 at high boost, and while you are driving around looking for the lone E85 station in BFE and can't find it, simply fill up on 92 octane gasoline switch maps and off you go! (turn down boost on your MBC if you are using one though!)
Also, 05's and 06's do not come equipped with this ICS. I'm voting for a simple peddle-combo that will allow you to change maps while the car is off but ignition is on. Others have other ideas.
Also, v6 is going to include an alky failsafe feature. For me, this means that if my alky injection kit fails, I can setup alt maps running less boost and timing, and more fuel to make sure nothing blows up. Very nice feature to have in a stock ecu!
