dejon intake manifold?

hey, I have been thinking about my dsm lately and was looking around on prices of parts, I have posted alot but it was half a year ago, and upon going back to school this fall of 08, i was looking into putting a few more things into my car, what reviews or opinions does anyone have about the dejon powerhouse website, and/or their parts. I have their uppipe and intake to turbo, and the shipping was fast, and the parts are solid. Would any of you get the intake mainfold, or fuel rail off them?---like i said, just want opinions

-Thanks

Re: dejon intake manifold?

It says their intake manifold is discontinued. JMF is probably the best bang for the buck on the market right now, mine will be a little better performance for the same money, but won't be out until spring probably.

I also believe that Dejon's old Intake Mani's were made of steel, not aluminum. And I also remember some of their products using some pretty thin flanges.

Re: dejon intake manifold?

Yeah, I have dealt with several of their 1/4" warped flanges.

OK?.. some of the holes didnt line up, the polish on it sucks.. he might be selling it and going with a jmf.. if i were you i would stay away from all dejon stuff.. he is also running the dejon fmic piping and as soon as the piping got warm the powdercoat faded BAD! all in all not to impressed...

Re: dejon intake manifold?

Having dejon all over the engine would scream cheap crap. maybe on a dsm that would be the ultimate truth. lol sorry i couldnt resist.

ps. nice job on the exhaust heat wrap, looks like a mummy. how many rolls did you use? 15? LOL jk

Re: dejon intake manifold?

Stay away from getting a rail. Stock fuel rails flow plenty. As others stated, stay away from their manifolds. I have one of the earlier versions of the JMF manifold, and love it. I really would love to get their drag manifold as that looks tits.

Jet, how could you prove your manifold makes more power then a JMF or Magnus? Swap manifolds only on a single car, and make pulls for each?

Re: dejon intake manifold?

Yes, that would be the only way to 100% prove it. It may be done next year too. Mine has a radiused TB inlet and tapered runners compared to the JMF one, so it should make more power. Most of the rest of it is the same. They use a mock raised runner for their base plate, I use smooth radiused entry, probably about the same performance for that part.
