10.77 @ 137.28 And 29.1 Miles Per Gallon
I got home from the track at 12:45 in the morning. It's five hours round trip, but I'm just a die hard like that.
First off, the weather was horrible. Air temp was in the low 70's/high 60's, but a northern had blown in and there was a massive head wind with 30+mph gusts. Horrible. My first pass was an easy 11.doh @ 136 with a 1.95 sixty foot. I was really surprised to see the mph still hanging in there. Actually, I expected to see it down to ~135'ish. Time for a second pass... With a little harder launch it pulled a 1.80 sixty foot, which was good enough to run a 10.77 @ 137.28. That's still with a very conservative tune and the same 125 shot. The stock clutch is holding up like a little champ, but I didn't want to push my luck since I was so far from home and I have to be at work at 7:00am.
BTW, on the way home I got 29.1 mpg.
I love this car.

Amazing.
Best mileage I've gotten in the Evo is 26.

Re: 10.77 @ 137.28 And 29.1 Miles Per Gallon
That's crazy - I was at VIR last weekend and there was a New Z06 racing there with the license plate "Sidways" (or some abbrev for sideways) and I watched him a few times get sideways hehe anyrate once he got comfortable with the car and what looked like his 12" slicks on all 4's. He was just destroying his group. (and it was a Porsche event...NNJRPCA) But they allowed him, an BMW, 2 mustangs, and 2 lotus's to run with them. if I had a roll bar for the Z4 I would have raced.
Anyways not bad car that can run 10's in the 1/4 and also run a road race coarse around Porsche's and not the weak ones either, GT2's, GT3's, GT3RS's, 996Turbo's, and Porsche Cup cars, the CDOC car was there along with 2 other's that I've seen on TV.

I think its been proven the C6 z06 is pretty much the perfect vehicle.
I guess America can build something kickass for the non-war market if they want to eh?

Re: 10.77 @ 137.28 And 29.1 Miles Per Gallon
Thanks guys!
I really don't deserve a car this cool.
It really makes those big ass payments less painful when other people dig the car as much as I do.

Re: 10.77 @ 137.28 And 29.1 Miles Per Gallon
Some day I will own one of those cars. A house is kinda priority now though.
The owner the company that I am working out of right now bought one this past summer for a summer daily driver. His fun weekend cars are of Italian or German decent. Must be nice to have a shit load of money.
