considering what it would cost for all that shit elsewhere if needed (and you'd have the ability to sell most of it if you just needed a motor) that's not a bad price for a dealership. Especially for someone who just wants a drop in.

Re: Evo crate engine
It's not a rebuilt block, it's the whole shebang... turbo and all. So no, it's not BS. It's actually a nice alternitive from a sponsor even if it has a heafty price tag initially. You're never going to buy it, and you don't have an Evo currently, so I don't see why you might get beny out of shape about it.

Sorry, that's just not compatible. You're comparing apples to oranges. This is the kind of thing you buy if you find an EVO with no motor or one that's totally junk. This is good info, I'll be on the hunt for this.

Re: Evo crate engine
Most places offer rebuilt engine for a couple grand.
Mitsu is offering completely factory new complete longblock, and accessories.
I am unfamiliar with the evo9 4g63, if the qulity is anywhere near the 6-bolt 4g63, this is a decent deal.
True, most everyone on this site is probably a DIYer.
This is the brookdale forum, they can post whatever they want.
Thanks Nick for making dealership trips worth while. You rock.

Re: Evo crate engine
Seems decent to me. You get a brand new factory engine (and lots of other stuff) with a warranty which is more than you get with a rebuild from whatever shop.
