AWD 3g Eclipse

Hey guys i don't know if this has already been posted but i was recently looking back on the old days of when i had a 3G eclipse and i wondered over to some old forums to see how far people have made progress on those cars. I was extremely surprised to find out that people are using Evo and 2g GSX components to make 3G's AWD. I think its pretty cool. I found a video of one.

There was a factory Ralliart concept AWD 4G out last year. I would buy one in a heartbeat if they produced it.

He used the 4g64 that came in the car. I'm not sure if he turboed it, but I would assume he did.

I have been waiting for it to come out sense the disappointing 3g. I even test drive the 4g, but i would not get it unless it was AWD

Re: AWD 3g Eclipse

Why would they ever stop making such a winning formula as Turbo AWD? I mean, in a non boxy form.

Yes the doors can go. And yes he turboed the 4G64 in it. The piping route is the best. Go look at his pics.

Two reasons, first they were already building and racing the EVO in rally racing so why build a car to compete with your own performance platform? Secondly Mistu claimed they wanted to improve their image and build cars that attracted more middle income buyers instead of teenagers.

Yes, the Raliart 4g would be awesome.

Re: AWD 3g Eclipse

I get that they wouldn't want to compete with themselves yet they still have two different "Sporty" car platforms. I think the differences could have been enough to not cause sales problems and the fact that they still have eclipses supports that to a point and an Raliart prototype furthers it.

I like the 4G styling. I hope AWD 4G makes it to market.

Re: AWD 3g Eclipse

The 3g AWD car is pretty cool. Hats off to that guy for building it.

I'd love it if they'd produce the Ralliart 4g turbo/AWD. But I doubt its gonna happen.

later,
Curt
