spun rod bear?

I have a 6bolt motor that throw a rod bearing. I think #1 is gone. Can I replace the bearing and how long will it last?

Re: spun rod bear?

All depends on how bad the journal is. I would be shocked if you didnt have to replace/machine/polish the crank.

Re: spun rod bear?

Much better to find a spun rod bear versus a Grizzly bear or Polar Bear in your pan.

That could be nasty .

Honestly, you probably need a rod, crank, new oil cooler, and to clean it up (block).

Re: spun rod bear?

You will more than likely need a new crank (opposed to the price of getting one re-nitrided)
