Torque Specs

My Helms manual isn't giving me torque specs for the bolts on the tensioner (2), tensioner arm (1), motor mount (3), oil housing (5), and idler pullies (1 bolt for each). If you have this knowledge, please post up. In ft/lbs not in/lbs please.

Thank you.

Re: Torque Specs

Timing belt tensioner = 204 in/lbs
Timing belt tensioner pully = 420 in/lbs
Oil Filter housing = 132-192 in/lbs

Dont have any info on the idler pully and the only thing I can find on the motor mount bolts are "tighten them securely".

bahaha

Lets confuse him... 1 in/lb = .833333333 ft/lbs.

You do the math! Lazy bastard!

It's not really the math. I'm just thinking that everything to do with timing is going to be in ft/lbs. Plus my torque wrench is only in ft/lbs, so I might as well keep everything "standardized," so I don't f*ck anything up.

Re: Torque Specs

I gave you the right answers... Just do the math. Meathead!

Also, the oil filter housing bolts are in IN/LBS.

Re: Torque Specs

My big torque wrench only goes down to 20 ft/lbs, so anything under 20 ft/lbs or 144 in/lbs I had to use a torque wrench that was in in/lbs.
