spark issues

The car is a '91 awd manual. The car only seems to be getting spark in the #3 and nothing else. I pulled off each plug wire and used a good spark plug and its only lighting up in the one cylinder. Tried a different coil pack, transister pack, cas, a friends ecu(which I know is good), and plug wires. I'm just about out of ideas here. All the parts which I tried were used parts so what are the chances of having them all be broken? Any help here would be great.

Re: spark issues

So with a new plug in the wire, u see spark from the plug ONLY on cylinder number 3? Is this problem suddenly new, or have you been having symptoms before?

Re: spark issues

I just got the car for $400 (grass roots motorsports project). I dont know much of the details as to when it quit running or why. And yes, I only get spark from the #3. Nothing else sparks.

Re: spark issues

Well, after I fixed the timing with the timing belt being off... Did a compression check and there is NO compression. Guess its time for a new motor.

Re: spark issues

If the cams were out of timing bad enough, the valves could be bent.
