I hate computer viruses

I just got my computer back from the geek squad fri. It is working for the first time in 3 weeks. I had two viruses and more spyware than he said he had ever seen. He said if my computer virus was 'the happies' it would have had open soars from head to toe.

I know some of you guys know computers whats the best way I can protect it in the future? I put on (had them put on) norton 2004 is that enough?

2004 anti virus right? Well, you shoudl get an anti-virus program and check frequently. I check after I download something.

The only virus I've ever had was Nimda, and that was caused because I was wide open to the internet. If you want to get rid of spyware, download AdAware and SpyBot Search & Destroy. Run them one after the other and you will find and get rid of any sort of spyware and crap that gets installed on your machine from malicious websites.
