Spot painting/rust repair

I have some rust bubbling underneath the paint right under the trunk hatch window. It hasn't eaten through the paint yet and it's a small 1 inch area but I want to take care of that and some other spots under my hood before it gets really bad. So does anyone know/recommend anyone who does spot painting/rust repair at a decent price?

well generally a 1 inch area of visible rust means that there is about an inch of rust underneath the paint that spans out in all directions from the edge of the bubble. I had a 240sx for a little but that had lots of bubbles the size of quarters but when i took the paint off and sealed it i found that the infected area was about the size of a fist, that was ghey.

Re: Spot painting/rust repair

My advice would be to try and find someone to do it on the side.

I tried to get an estimate for my conquest, which had a hole about the size of a silver dollar, and the rear lip of both fenders was rotted away pretty far, the guy just said "don't bother, get a new car for what it would cost"

Assuming he wasn't just blowing me off, it would probably have been a couple thousand dollars for him to say that.
