Job Description Responsible for strategically designing, developing, and implementing Corporate Performance Management data models and data marts for enterprise-level BI applications and reporting. These data models/marts will be architected and documented to include data flow views, business needs, and application usage.
Responsible for clearly understanding the business drivers for executive decision, competitive decision, and financial decision analysis needs and driving the appropriate implementation of corporate business performance BI solutions.
Partners with business users to design and architect the business required data model/marts to support the overall Business Intelligence data warehouse architecture and methodology.
Lead and coordinate the identification, definition, documentation, and use of primary data from existing business sources to be included within a corporate performance management data repository for the design and development of reporting/analytics using the Cognos-8 tool suite.
Drive the business level understanding of available data and its informational usage for key strategic business decisions and processes that the data models/marts support.
Translate business requirements, rules, and processes into data models/marts suitable for Business Intelligence analysis design and report development. Additional Information Demonstrated ability to translate business performance reporting and analytical needs into an implemented data model/mart environment.
Proven ability to create data flow diagrams to document data origination and data flow sources within a data warehouse.
Ability to interface with all levels of management and team members for enterprise-wide business reporting collaboration.
Proven ability to identify and balance the interests of diverse business groups and ability to work well in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability of facilitation and communication skills.
Proven experience and solution development using the Cognos-8 tool suite. Experience 5 Years experience in performing logical and physical data design and modeling skills.
7 years of Information Technology experience with specific focus on data warehousing, data modeling, and BI analytics.
3-5 years experience with the Cognos tool suite (Cognos-8 preferred) and performing business intelligence analytical reporting.
Experience in project methodology and planning and understanding its implications on achieving effective business solutions.
Proven experience and solution development using the Cognos-8 tool suite. Education Bachelors preferably Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
