Turbo upgrades!
So as I'm starting to get my car ready for a bigger and better turbo.
The only mods I have done right is:
1998 Eclipse gs-t
3In turbo back exhaust
UICP with 1g BOV
Injen intake
MBC.
I know it anit nothing to big, but I'm thinking of either doing a New intercooler set up or the fuel system. I was thinking the super big side mount front Dejon powerhouse. http://dsm.dejonpowerhouse.com/
For the fuel system I was thinking of getting the whole package deals http://www.extremepsi.com/store/cust...cat=458&page=1
-Injectors, Fuel pump, s-afc. The only problem with that is I don't know what injectors and pump to pick out because I dunno what turbo I'm going to upgrade too.
Turbo ideas- big evo III 16g,20g,28
So I would really like it if you guys would put some input in this! Such as a good intercoolers or fuel set ups.
Then I really would like it if you guys would also reccomed some turbos it!
Thanks!
-Tyler

Re: Turbo upgrades!
It all depends on your goals. How much power are you aiming to make? I have heard good things about eBay intercoolers, I would get one of those. There was a group buy from SSAutoChrome intercooler kits for 2g's and everyone was very pleased with them. IIRC they were like $380 shipped. As far as fuel stuff goes, for everything 16g and below a 190lph pump should suffice. I cant remember if a 190 will flow enough to keep up with a Evo III 16g.

t-28 is around 220- 250 whp, 16g scheides hit 298 w/ his ans go with a 255 feul pump at least 660 injectors and try to save your money for dsmlink alot more expensive but everyone on here says its alot better, also look into an afpr and defenitly research before u buy

Pleased based on what, how pretty it looked? I'd like to see how well those SSAutoShit kits do in terms of IAT reduction.

Re: Turbo upgrades!
If you're going to go with a FMIC, do it once and do it right:
http://www.dvdtfab.com/
I have yet to see another 2G FMIC kit with an endtank design that can compete with the DV/DT endtanks.

Re: Turbo upgrades!
If you are considering that Dejon sidemount you might want to think about a Supra sidemount instead. It's going to do everything you need it to do at 300whp and it wont block your radiator.

The most we've seen out of a 16g car was a 2g fwd with an evo 16g. 268whp.
Most 16g cars are in the 220-250 range.

Re: Turbo upgrades!
First the the SSautochrome intercoolers suck. They cool like crap. If your building a stock bottom end Honda and your going to push under 10psi, then their larger core will work. Other then that, stay away.
A non rewired 190 pump will take you to 397whp amazingly. Thats a long story, many many moons ago, when I ordered my 255hp fom Busher, he sent me a 190, and I didn't find out till it maxed on the dyno(years later). But why even bother, just get the 255.
My big16 made 339whp(C16) on my car with bad compression.

Whoa, just passing on what others have said in hopes of helping out, no need to get your panties in a bunch.
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/show...ight=ebay+fmic
I only read a few pages into it and the page on the end and I didnt see any complaints. Not trying to be an ass, but do you have any evidence that they arent good IC's? I've got a friend selling this guage, its hooked up to a temp sensor after the filter and before the TB, then you can switch between the two and see whats going on. I think I am going to invest in one of those and put a eBay IC up against my buddies name brand (FP?) and see whats going on.

SSAutoShit is well known for selling junk products. Show us your intercooler IAT comparison and prove me wrong.

Re: Turbo upgrades!
For a nice 2G intercooler, I suggest the 'AGP Turbo' 2g FMIC kit. Turbo choice? Any kind of 16G will be plenty for your goals. But if you're gonna get all the fuel stuff, and a FMIC, why not take advantage of all that and what the stock engine can handle? Why not consider a PTE SCM "50 trim"? I have a BR 20g on my car right now; 20Gs are hard to find at a good price. I have to say my 20G is barely laggy. If there is any lag, its nothing to bitch about, and its just overall a nice turbo.
Injector size? again, if you go with a 16g, you'd probably be fine with 550cc's. Anything bigger I'd say get maybe 650cc or bigger.
