2011 Motorsports Season
Cabin fever is in full effect, I'm counting the days before the first event of the year. What's everyone planning on doing in 2011? I know s1ngletracker and myself are doing Chump Car, and MAP's event at BIR is big hit. I hope to see a bunch of people at local autocrosses.
My Chump Car team has agreed to do 3 events this year starting at Road America, then one at BIR and one at Iowa Speedway. I'm looking to hopefully get into another car for the other two races at BIR and Iowa Speedway.
I'll be autocrossing locally as much as I can along with going to Milwaukee for the divisional event and hopefully go back to Lincoln for nationals and try to improve on what I did there last year.
That doesn't leave room for much else, I'd really like to get my car into shape and take it to BIR for a track day.

Re: 2011 Motorsports Season
I'll be at proving grounds, I'll be going down to Marshalltown a couple times, and will be trying to make as many autox events as I can up here.

Re: 2011 Motorsports Season
We will be busy this summer, attending chumpcar races in Wisconsin, Iowa, Brainerd, and possibly Hallett in Oklahoma. We also are responsible for helping to drum up interest in chumpcar, that will bring us to autox events, meets (hoping to make the Mitsustyle spring dyno day, whenever that happens to be), and possibly even Elko - circle track cars can be chump car legal with a few modifications.
We have an aggressive list, we'll see how much we actually make.
I'll probably be doing some Rallyx with the talon as well, time permitting. Also think it'd be fun to do the MAP event this year, assuming it happens again. Seems like schedules aren't really set at this point.

Re: 2011 Motorsports Season
I plan to be at MAP's proving grounds. Other than that, not sure how much actual racing I'll get to do this year as that fully depends on where I'm at with the Green Bean build. If it's not turboed, i still may try to take it to the track and get some baseline runs done while it's still mostly stock.

Re: 2011 Motorsports Season
If I can find the appropiate car, I will be re-entering the race seen, this time on the auto-x side.
I plan on doing the novice school in April, then hopefully up to 3 auto-x events, pending available time.
After the wedding in December, I may have clearance for a chump car or atleast a full local auto-x season for 2012.

Oh nice, Eixenberger is a good guy.
Yea, we're always open for more people to come with, always a good time to be had. Shoot me a PM a little closer to spring and we'll talk shop.
I am also interested in getting on the chump car wagon, but am not sure I'll have enough time this season to get real hardcore about it. Would like to at least be on a crew for one of the races and learn more.
