Back...again
I've only been lurking on the bigger DSM sites since a certain A-hole booted me off the Yahoo MN-DSM list. Some of you may remember my black '92 Laser RS AWD that got totaled back in 2003. I thought that was going to be my last DSM but ended up picking up two more. A '92 Talon TSi AWD and a '94 Talon TSi AWD. That makes seven DSM's that I've owned since 1991 when I bought my first one brand new. They have some mild performance mods and have been daily drivers up til this point. But, I'm going to be turning the '94 into a race car so I guess it's time to come back into the light so to speak. I've been bitten by the road racing bug, bad. I've been to B.I.R. road racing four times with my '70 El Camino SS. Yes, a '70 El Camino believe it or not. It does surprisingly well and I have plenty of in car video to prove it. Here are a few examples:
2:02 Lap BIR
148 mph down the front straight.
Driveby
Overtaking 2 C5 Corvettes.
But, as much fun as it is,the El Camino was never intended to see the road course more than a few times. So, I'm going to road race the '94. I have a good friend who's been doing very well road racing his GSX. I set the bar pretty high with the El Camino so it's going to be interesting to see if I can do better with the Talon.

Thanks! No, the only things stock on the car are the body, frame, rearend housing, sway bar, and some of the steering components.

Hey Chris, no it wasn't you. No worries anyway, it's in the past.

I parted it out during the summer of '04. The stock 7-bolt finally let go with 162k on the clock putting down some pretty good power with a 20G. A local guy here got the shell, complete suspension, my race tranny, exhaust, and a few other misc. parts. The car has yet to be revived to a true running car though. He'll get it going for a few days/weeks then something will break on it again. I now have a '02 S2000 and '92 Laser AWD.
Considering coming to Applebees on Tuesday nights with us, there is info in the General Events section of the board. Its always good to get some of the old-schoolers back!
*edit* Wait a second, didn't you buy the downpipe and some other things off the '94? Oh yeah, that was a beautiful Laser you had, I too was very sad to see it go!

Re: Back...again
It's nice to see someone on here that makes me look like a newbie in the DSM world.
Let me know when you want to part with that gauge cluster. I'm too lazy to make one myself.
