I haven't had any problems like that from 1600s and stock fuel rails. Me and C3lica have run the crappy 1600s on a stock rail maxing out single fuel pump setups with the fuel pressure dropping like crazy.

I have had problems with the cheap non-OEM composite headgaskets blowing for no reason though.
