Re: Is Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty?

Oil is used in more products then just fuel. And is far less efficient than other sources. Hydrogen cars take water, turn it to fuel, then back into water, but doesnt fuck up the environment like oil does. Hell if they would have made the refining of ethanol more efficient, that would make for a better fuel than oil, and can be actually grown, burns cleaner and can be in abundance.
As soon as technology catches up, sun will be a great source of energy and will NEVER go out.
The key to the Kyoto Protocol and other treaties trying to make their way to light, is to make it so we can develop a cleaner way of producing energy that will not fuck up our environment for our children and childrens children.
Southern California is a shithole because of pollution, I was flying in coming back from MN a couple times ago, and when we were making our decent i looked out the window, too my amazment it looked like we were going to land in dirt.... what was this dirt? It wasnt dirt at all, its that we were decending through a brown fog called SMOG. It was sickening. And if we can do anything to eliminate this or cut down on this, the world would be safer and cleaner. You dont think diseases are sprouting up because the air we breath is all fucked up? Open your eyes, Cancer is on the rise and has been for a while now, something like 1 in 4 people will die of cancer. (need reference)
