You would use the 2G knock sensor with the 2G ECU. The ECU will be able to detect knock and hopefully do something about it. With DSMLink, you can see knock. You can also datalog ignition advance and use your best judgement to find knock, but how the SAFC is tuned and injector size can play a big role in how easy it is to find knock.
